Every mattress in Roya’s Ultra series is built on pocketed springs: coils sealed in their own fabric sleeves so each one moves on its own. That’s what keeps a partner’s tossing and turning on their side of the bed. The five Ultra models share that foundation and differ in height, comfort layers, and feel, so you can choose the one that matches how you sleep.
Roya has been making mattresses in Iran since 1984, and the Ultra series is where our spring expertise shows most clearly. If you share a bed, this is the family to start with: each Ultra mattress is designed so that one person can turn over, get up, or come to bed late while the other keeps sleeping. Below, we explain how pocket springs work, who the series suits, how the five models compare, and what they cost.
In a pocket spring mattress, each coil is wrapped in its own fabric pocket instead of being wired to its neighbors. Pressure on one spot compresses only the springs underneath it, so your shoulders and hips sink in slightly while the rest of the surface stays level and still.
In practice, that gives you:
Pocket springs are often thought of as a couples’ mattress, and for good reason. But the benefits reach well beyond shared beds.
Because the springs work independently, a restless partner, an early alarm, or a late bedtime stays on one side of the bed. For couples with different schedules or sleep styles, that alone can change the quality of a night.
Pocket springs spread body weight across the whole surface instead of letting it collect in a few points. If you tend to wake up with pressure around your lower back or shoulders on your current mattress, the more even support of an Ultra model is worth trying.
Ultra mattresses pair a responsive spring core with comfort layers on top, so they feel neither hard nor sinking. They’re a comfortable middle ground for people who find very soft or very firm mattresses uncomfortable.
Plenty of mattresses use pocketed coils. What sets the Ultra series apart is what’s built around them: multiple comfort layers, high-density foams, and a quilted three-layer circular-knit cover with hypoallergenic fibers that lets air move through the surface. The result is a mattress that feels more refined than a basic pocket spring model and keeps its shape for years.
That’s also why the Ultra series isn’t only for couples. Single sleepers who have never been fully satisfied with an ordinary mattress will find the same even support in our 90, 100, and 120 cm sizes.
All Ultra models use pocketed springs. On the Ultra 4, they form the top layer over a Bonnell (interconnected) core. The models differ in comfort layers, height, feel, and warranty.

For the highest weight capacity and the longest warranty, choose the Ultra Plus. It’s our tallest, most layered mattress and comes with a free waterproof mattress protector.
For a firm, closely contoured feel, look at the Ultra 1, with its extra Cell Pocket layers. It’s best for back sleepers up to 100 kg.
For a balanced, medium feel that suits most sleeping positions, compare the Ultra 2 (28 cm, up to 120 kg) and the slimmer Ultra 3 (26 cm, up to 110 kg).
For the most accessible price, the Ultra 4 offers a medium-firm hybrid build, support for up to 120 kg per sleeper, and a Junior size for teens.
Ultra prices depend mainly on the model and the size you choose. Here’s what shapes the price, and roughly where each model sits.
